Alongside Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish, Nacon will also publish Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Rageborn from creā-ture Studios (known for Session: Skate Sim). This new game is a top-down action-adventure title inspired by Metroidvania games. Players will take on the role of Taylor, a werewolf, and embark on a quest for revenge in the Alaskan wilderness, all based on the 5th Edition ruleset.
Each form offers unique strengths. Homid form is best for using ranged weapons like guns, while Crinos excels in close combat. Lupus is a swift, agile wolf form. Switching between these forms will greatly improve how you explore and fight. For instance, enemies like flying drones that are hard to hit as a werewolf become easy targets when you’re in human form and using firearms.
This is also important during boss battles, like the one against the Security Core. The Core’s arena is a small, lab-like space filled with lasers and other dangers. Using your Lupus form makes getting around the base much simpler, as it allows you to jump over wider gaps.
The action RPG Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Rageborn is scheduled to release in 2027 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Fans are eager for more information, hoping this new installment will be better received than the 2022 game, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, which received negative reviews.
