What Pete Davidson Finds Hard to Do After Welcoming Baby Girl

Live from Las Vegas, Pete Davidson is joking about fatherhood. 

The former Saturday Night Live cast member, who recently became a father to four-month-old Scottie Rose with his partner Elsie Hewitt, made a playful but risqué joke about how his hobbies have changed since the baby was born.

During his April 11th comedy show at The Fountainebleau in Las Vegas, Pete, 32, explained he hadn’t performed stand-up for five months because he recently had a baby. He shared that having a daughter is a strange experience, jokingly adding it’s made watching adult content a little awkward – but hasn’t stopped him.

“I powered through,” he added. “No, it’s great.”

Pete has been making jokes about starting a new phase of his life just a month after Elsie, age 30, gave an update about their daughter and shared a surprising detail about the day she was born.

I was so excited when my little Scottish Terrier turned 12 weeks old! I shared on Instagram that we actually made predictions for her birth time on the way to the hospital. I jokingly guessed 3:05 PM – it’s my birthday, March 5th! It was a long 23-hour labor, but unbelievably, she arrived exactly at 3:05 PM. It felt like a little sign, and it was the most amazing moment.

She added, “how crazy and cool is that.”

The model marked three months with her daughter by sharing a couple of photos of them together. In the pictures, she’s wearing a long lace dress and gazing into the distance while cradling her baby, who is dressed in a pink onesie.

The couple also shared a peek at their first date night since their baby was born in December.

Elsie said a date that was supposed to be romantic actually left her feeling uneasy the following day.

She shared on Instagram on January 11th that if you’ve had a baby four weeks ago and try to go out, you’ll probably feel terrible the next day, saying she felt like she was wasting away.

I just wanted to be upfront about that because I don’t want to create unrealistic expectations, or make any other moms feel pressured to go out if they aren’t feeling up to it!

Even though Elsie would like to schedule a date night with the comedian, she’s prioritizing her recovery after having a baby and being kind to herself.

She explained that it’s common to feel restless or pretend you’re recovered before you actually are, because childbirth is incredibly intense and recovery takes a long time. She emphasized that she’s still going through the recovery process.

She’s currently looking for solutions to manage the situation.

While Elsie was getting her makeup done for a Pat McGrath Labs red carpet event in May 2025, Pete showed his support by stopping to give her a loving kiss despite the busy atmosphere.

“This is my best work so far,” the 29-year-old shared. “I’m completely overwhelmed with happiness, thankfulness, and surprise.”
