Conan O’Brien made sure the 2026 Oscars were a yummy experience.
Conan hosted the Academy Awards on March 15th at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and provided everyone who attended with a snack pack. It included Skinny Pop popcorn, Swedish Fish candies, and a bottle of water.
Conan sent a note with the treats saying, “Welcome to the Oscars!” to everyone – nominees, their guests, and even those filling in empty seats.

The 62-year-old playfully pointed out that while the snacks didn’t seem like a lot, they’d cost around $85 if purchased at a movie theater.
He wished them luck for the evening, encouraging them to enjoy themselves. He added with a smile that their loud, happy laughter would be good for both their well-being and his own spirits.
The comedian, who previously hosted a late-night show, signed the message with a friendly “all the best” and added a drawing of himself in a tuxedo, waving to the recipient.
Conan wasn’t the only one offering food at the Oscars; the Academy also provided guests with dehydrated vegetables to enjoy during the show.
Providing food for famous guests is a common practice at awards shows. For example, at the 2014 Oscars, Ellen DeGeneres had a pizza delivered and handed out slices to stars like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and even made sure the delivery person received a generous tip for their unexpected appearance.
During the 2016 Oscars, host Chris Rock had a creative way to raise money for the Girl Scouts. He invited his daughter’s troop to sell cookies directly to the audience, and they reportedly earned $65,243, according to Business Insider.
During the show, he shared a recent conversation with his youngest daughter, Zahra. She had called him and asked, ‘Dad, why don’t we ever sell the most cookies? Why does Mrs. Dunn always win?’ He explained that winning would be very important to Zahra.
During the 2017 Oscars, host Jimmy Kimmel surprised the audience with a fun treat – he had candy like Junior Mints and Red Vines dropped from the ceiling.
