The documentary ‘Maternal Instinct’ is currently the most popular title on Netflix, detailing the disturbing crimes of Taylor Parker.
Taylor appeared to be pregnant, but it was a deception. She had undergone a hysterectomy and couldn’t have children, a fact she kept hidden from her boyfriend.
She started pretending to be pregnant, buying outfits for the baby and went as far as tricking a friend into throwing a party to announce the ‘gender’.
Court records showed Taylor had been searching online for things like fake pregnancy bellies, newborn adoptions, finding birth mothers, and videos of cesarean sections.
When confronted by her boyfriend, Taylor went on to commit a heinous crime.
Read on for more of the story about Taylor Parker and her whereabouts today.
What did Taylor Parker do?

In 2019, Reagan Simmons-Hancock, then 21, hired Taylor Parker to photograph her wedding, and the two quickly became friends.
Reagan and Taylor stayed friends after the wedding, and in 2020 they both found out they were expecting their second children.
Just before Reagan went into labor, she spoke with Taylor, who shared that she would be starting induction the following day.
The next day, Taylor fatally stabbed Reagan, inflicting 15 stab wounds and 98 cuts, and also removed her unborn baby.
Taylor tried to claim the baby as hers and then called 911 from her car when the baby stopped breathing. When officers arrived, they found Taylor giving the newborn CPR.
The woman told police she had recently given birth and, shockingly, even placed the baby’s umbilical cord inside her pants.
Doctors confirmed Taylor hadn’t actually given birth, and she was subsequently arrested at the hospital and charged with murder.
Where is Taylor Parker now?
Taylor Parker was convicted of murder in 2022 and was sentenced to death.
She is currently in prison on death row at the Patrick L. O’Daniel Unit in Texas, and is the youngest woman there facing execution.
Parker explained to The New Yorker in 2025 that she realized she hadn’t done what people were accusing her of, and that those accusations were false. She said seeing the autopsy photos was what finally made her understand the truth.
It’s incredibly difficult to say, but I don’t feel I have a home to return to. I belong here. I strongly believe that you shouldn’t benefit from something you’ve taken from someone else – that’s a crucial part of taking responsibility and working towards making amends.
