It unearths long-buried traumas within the tight-knit coastal community they hail from, resurfacing those who were involved and wishing to suppress these events.

The primary setting and filming location for “One Night” is primarily Australia, utilizing four key spots as the main production areas.

In order to replicate the quaint coastal town depicted in the series, some scenes were actually shot along the southern coastline of New South Wales, with Thirroul, a picturesque seaside suburb to the north, serving as one of the filming locations.

To the north of Thirroul lies Austinmer, one of the primary filming spots for the six-part drama series. Additionally, the quaint town of Clifton, situated midway between Sydney and Wollongong, was also used as a film location.

The majority of the series was shot in New South Wales, but certain scenes were captured in Sydney itself. Sydney serves as a scenic backdrop during key events such as when Simone visits her publisher and holds her book launch.
