The long-awaited Celebrity version of The Traitors is almost here – it premieres tomorrow!
Actress Ruth Codd, famous for her roles in Netflix series, is one of the many stars attending.
Starting on October 8th, Claudia Winkleman will host a group of celebrities in a high-stakes game of mystery, betrayal, and teamwork. They’ll be competing to win up to £100,000 for their chosen charity.

Ruth Codd is an Irish actress who’s gained recognition for her roles in popular Netflix series like The Midnight Club and The Fall of the House of Usher. She initially worked as a makeup artist and barber before pursuing acting after the COVID-19 pandemic. In January 2024, she finished third on the reality show Celeb Cooking School, and she’s now set to play Phlegma in the upcoming live-action How to Train Your Dragon remake.
She injured her foot playing football at age 15, and unfortunately, complications from that injury led to her right leg being amputated below the knee when she was 23. Now, she uses platforms like TikTok to raise awareness about disabilities.
Why did Ruth sign up for The Celebrity Traitors?
Ruth joined the cast of The Celebrity Traitors because she loved watching the show, but she was also a bit anxious about being a contestant. “I’m second-guessing everything now! This is totally new for me,” she explained to the BBC. “I enjoyed watching it as a viewer and thought it would be a lot of fun to participate.”
Does Ruth want to be a Faithful or Traitor?
Ruth said she was comfortable with either role, explaining that she’s naturally indecisive and tends to change her mind frequently.
