It was time for the first pair to leave The Fortune Hotel tonight… kind of.
At the onset of the games, host Stephen Mangan announced an unexpected development – one team would have to depart prior to checking into the hotel, effectively ending their participation early.
Initially, it was unclear how they would leave, but as soon as all the teams reached the beach, it became evidently clear in a harsh manner.
There were 10 briefcases, but there were 11 teams standing.

Unexpectedly, the finalists weren’t anticipating this turn of events, as they individually had to retrieve their cases in succession.
As a movie reviewer, I’d put it this way: Alas, for our beloved duo, Chelsey and Briony, fate dealt them an unfortunate hand when they opted for the briefcase carrying the early exit pass. This premature ejection from the show left their promising journey tragically cut short, before they could truly unveil their full potential.
Learning they’ll meet someone on the runway at the airport, only to hear one pair won’t return, feels quite tough.
