The winner of Celebrity MasterChef 2025 has been announced after a challenging competition.
Ginger Johnson, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 5, has added another win to her achievements by becoming the Celebrity MasterChef Champion for 2025!
The drag artist is the latest winner of the cooking competition, beating out 14 other celebrities to claim the top prize.
The final round saw Ginger compete against rugby star Alun Wyn Jones and TV personality Dawn O’Porter. They all created amazing dishes, but only one could be crowned the winner!
Ginger expressed her disbelief and excitement after winning, saying she’d expected a fun experience but never imagined this outcome. She described the win as ‘crazy’ and immediately wanted to share the news with her parents, adding that she’d also gained a valuable, practical skill through the competition.

Ginger is the latest in a growing group of winners, joining past champions like Vito Coppola from Strictly Come Dancing, Kadeen Coz MBE, Kimberly Wyatt, and Nadia Sawalha.
Judge Grace Dent praised Ginger throughout the competition, saying she consistently created dishes that were fascinating, original, and challenging. Dent described Ginger’s performance as truly remarkable.
Tonight on the show, the celebrities faced their biggest culinary challenge yet: preparing a three-course meal in just three hours that showcased their growth as cooks.
Ginger described her menu as a performance, saying she wants to create the most fun, exciting, and humorous food possible. She’s preparing a modern take on a classic 1970s dinner party, reflecting her love for the era’s art, fashion, music, and overall vibe.
Ginger’s successful menu featured a unique prawn cocktail with a Bloody Mary twist, a creative version of Duck a l’Orange, and a dramatic Flaming Baked Alaska.
This competition has inspired me to be more creative with food, allowing me to express the same imagination I use in other parts of my life. I’m now completely hooked on both cooking and competing!
Celebrity MasterChef is available to watch on catch-up on BBC iPlayer.
