You can call her daddy, but don’t call Alex Cooper a mean girl.
Following her public call-out of Alix Earle regarding their ongoing disagreement, Call Her Daddy podcast host Alex Cooper also addressed fellow content creator Brianna LaPaglia, known as Chickenfry.
Okay, so I was scrolling through Alexandra Cooper’s Instagram Stories yesterday, and honestly, I’m SO glad she’s finally speaking out! Apparently, Frank LaPaglia – you know, the guy who used to work at Barstool, the company that made her podcast – is part of this whole thing trying to paint her as some kind of horrible person! Like, he’s actively helping spread this rumor that she’s a ‘mean girl,’ and I just… I can’t even with that. It’s infuriating! She’s amazing, and this whole narrative is just so unfair. I’m totally team Alex on this one!
Cooper criticized the spreading of rumors, stating, “This needs to stop.” He specifically called out Brianna Chickenfry for contributing to a false story and participating in what he described as a pile-on against Alix while she was trying to clarify things.
The 31-year-old explained that someone named Brianna was publicly accusing her of being unkind and predicting she’d face backlash online, even claiming she disliked Alex Cooper. She clarified that she’s never actually met Brianna in person, and their only interaction has been through direct messages.
Cooper tried to support her claims by posting screenshots of their private conversations, which mentioned Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and Brianna’s former partner, Zach Bryan.
In a message, 26-year-old LaPaglia told Cooper about something Dave Portnoy supposedly said on his BFFs podcast, while also explaining how she felt about it.
Hey Dave, I just saw something on a friend’s account where you said you dislike me, so I wanted to message you quickly before our episode airs and things get crazy. I’m really sorry if I sounded rude when I said I hadn’t listened to the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast – I always have good things to say about you. The editors seem to have cut things together to make me look bad, but you’re the original!

Based on screenshots, the two eventually resolved their issues and stayed in touch over the years, occasionally messaging about dog-friendly travel and parties. After LaPaglia publicly split from Bryan in October 2024, Cooper reached out with a supportive message, saying, “I’m so sorry you went through that. … Thank you for sharing your experience, it’s going to help others.”
Cooper further emphasized her points on another slide, and even included Grace O’Malley—a former colleague of LaPaglia who had joined Cooper’s Unwell network in December 2024—to support her argument.
I never asked you to be on the Call Her Daddy podcast. I did send you a supportive message when the Zach Bryan situation happened, back on April 15th. We never said anything bad about you, and nothing negative occurred between you, me, or Unwell during that time.
Regarding the drama, I’ve actually never met this person before,” Cooper explained. “What I just showed is the entirety of our communication, and yet they claim to hate me. It’s surprising, and I’d ask them to review our direct messages – that’s never been how things were between us. Now, let’s get back to discussing Alix. And just to be clear, this isn’t some publicity stunt.

LaPaglia didn’t stay silent after Cooper spoke out. She responded with a TikTok video an hour later, challenging what he had said.
Alex Cooper recently posted a TikTok addressing a comment I made about her, where I said she wasn’t a mean girl. This was based on some friendly messages we exchanged before I learned more about her. Now, people claiming there’s something criminal going on with Alex and Alix are being accused of staging a publicity stunt.
I’ve been following Alex Cooper for a while, and it all started when I first encountered her through Barstool. Honestly, I was a huge fan at first! But then I started to see a different side of her – a side that’s…intense, and sometimes really tough on people. I quickly learned there’s a lot more to Alex than just the public persona, and it can be pretty shocking how she interacts with others.
LaPaglia didn’t stay silent, and responded to Cooper’s statements with a TikTok video an hour later.
She explained that Alex Cooper recently posted a TikTok referencing a past conversation where she’d told someone Cooper wasn’t mean, before learning more about her. She believes the current accusations against Alex are a deliberate attempt at a public relations maneuver.
LaPaglia explained she first met Alex Cooper when she worked at Barstool Sports. She added that she admired Cooper initially, before realizing how Cooper could sometimes be difficult and how she interacted with others.
She stated she was friends with Earle and that he supposedly shared with her all the details of what happened between him and Cooper at the Super Bowl two years prior.
According to Alix Earle, Alex Cooper is a really unkind person,” LaPaglia explained. “I might have changed my opinion of you after learning some things, and I used to admire you, but not anymore. And that video you made was a classic example of being a bully.
LaPaglia concluded her video by calling on Earle once more to “say her side of the story.”
TopMob News contacted representatives for Cooper and Earle for a statement, but they haven’t responded yet.
Okay, so everyone’s buzzing about the drama with Earle, Cooper, and LaPaglia, and honestly, who doesn’t love a good celebrity feud? While we wait to see how that one unfolds, I thought I’d share some other famous public disagreements – because let’s be real, sometimes the biggest headlines aren’t about what celebrities do, but who they’re fighting with!
She also said she was friends with Earle and that he supposedly shared with her all the details of what happened between him and Cooper at the Super Bowl two years prior.
According to Alix Earle, Alex Cooper is a really unkind person,” LaPaglia explained. “I might have changed my opinion of you once I learned more, and I admit I used to admire you. Now, I definitely don’t… and that video you made was a classic example of being a bully.
LaPaglia concluded her video by calling on Earle once more to “say her side of the story.”

As fans follow the drama between Earle, Cooper, and LaPaglia, here’s a look at some other famous celebrity disagreements…

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, two months after announcing he was leaving Queer Eye after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)
He assured Vanity Fair that he and Tan are doing okay. He explained they had a personal issue between them, unrelated to the show, that had been building up for a while. He also made it clear it wasn’t a romantic matter.
In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show Queer Eye.
Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately landed it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t help them get the part by having anyone else removed from consideration, as he explained in an Instagram post.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that actor Topher Grace was the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a “rude little boy” and a “dastardly little thing.”
He did not respond to her remarks publicly.
Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed upset during his 2014 appearance on The Talk because she had misspoken his name.
She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this business?’ She said she responded with a strong warning, telling him, ‘Don’t underestimate me, because I will completely overwhelm you.’ She finished by saying, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to, young man.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean. This followed a post Brittany shared on Instagram on August 23rd, where she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoyed her current feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure had once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Soon after, Bure publicly apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was younger and was truly sorry for not taking the picture.
Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday movies, she stated it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.
JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to an entire community.”

As a longtime observer of pop culture, I remember when Courtney Love publicly called out Olivia Rodrigo back in 2021. Courtney felt Olivia’s promotional photo was a little too similar to a classic Hole album cover, and she wanted some recognition for it. Olivia’s response was surprisingly sweet – she simply said she loved Courtney and understood what she was going through. Courtney, never one to miss a beat, playfully replied, letting Olivia know she was welcome, and then cleverly dropped a hint about her favorite florist in London, inviting Olivia to DM her for the details. It was a really interesting little exchange – a bit of drama, a touch of support, and a whole lot of personality!

While on Watch What Happens Live, the actor from Happy Days explained why he and the star of Forrest Gump didn’t get along while filming Turner & Hooch in 1989.
I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to go home, saying I had everything I needed.
I remember hearing Winkler talk about working with Hanks’ dog, and it was so heartwarming! He really loved that animal – he said they got along wonderfully, and he just kept repeating how much he adored him.
He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”
Anyone who watched The Hills likely remembers that famous line from Lauren, spoken at the start of season three. The drama between her and Heidi began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt. It escalated when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and her then-boyfriend, Jason Wahler, alleging she’d made a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out in 2017, starting with an Instagram post from Tyrese after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced, set to release in 2019. The following month, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson was still involved.
Tyrese recently discussed the long-standing conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that he still hasn’t spoken directly to Johnson, though he hopes to. He mentioned he did talk to one of Johnson’s production partners, but not to Johnson himself.
Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations he heard from others connected to the franchise. He explained he was the one who spoke out, which he now recognizes was unprofessional and a mistake.

No more bad blood here.
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to have even fueled Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which supposedly began because of a disagreement over a dancer and competition during concert tours, was resolved when Perry sent Swift an actual olive branch as a peace offering before Swift’s Reputation Tour began.
Taylor shared in an Instagram video that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.
Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, successfully dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.
During a September 2017 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan they had only ever been coworkers, not friends.
She was deeply upset, saying she was “just heartbroken.” They had talked about it all week, and she found it really disturbing because her memory of what happened was completely different.
It’s upsetting, but I believe what truly connects us is the shared experience we all had. It started as a professional collaboration, but over the years, it became something deeply personal. I’m hoping that those years of working on something special, and the connection people felt with it, will ultimately be more important than any recent disagreements. It was a real privilege to be a part of.
And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances. He famously told the audience that he didn’t believe lip-syncing should be considered a live act, and jokingly suggested anyone who lip-syncs during a paid concert shouldn’t be allowed to perform.

The actress, formerly on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to no longer be considered for an Emmy Award. She explained that she didn’t think the storylines she was given were strong enough to deserve a nomination.
I shared with Oprah Winfrey on her show, Oprah’s Next Chapter, back in 2012, how I felt when Katherine made her decision. Honestly, it hurt a little, but I wasn’t totally shocked. I’ve really learned to live by the idea that you need to believe people when they show you their true colors. It’s a lesson that’s stuck with me and honestly, it’s been incredibly valuable in both my personal and professional life.

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week made headlines everywhere. A month later, Cardi publicly explained what started the conflict with Nicki.
Ugh, it’s just… she’s been coming for me constantly, you guys! Like, Cardi told W magazine, she actually TRIED to talk to her twice, and they seemed to have reached some kind of agreement. But she just wouldn’t let it go! It’s so frustrating, I can’t believe she keeps doing this to Cardi!
The conflict really escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had supposedly liked, then unliked, a tweet criticizing Cardi’s skills as a mother. Nicki has stated she didn’t actually do this.
Cardi B explained she turned down a potentially hugely profitable Bruno Mars tour so she could be with her daughter, something she doesn’t regret. She strongly defended her dedication as a mother, and pointed out that opportunities to meet artists unexpectedly are rare. She felt it was worth being at the party where she encountered another artist, because those kinds of spontaneous meetings don’t happen often.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 following the release of Kanye’s song “Famous,” which mentioned Taylor by name.
As a long-time follower of both artists, it was so interesting to see what happened in February 2025! Just the day before the Grammys, Kanye suddenly only followed Taylor on Instagram. He didn’t say a word about it, and Taylor didn’t publicly acknowledge it either – it definitely got everyone talking!

“I don’t know her.”
The rumored rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez began in 2003 during a German television interview. When asked about Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey famously said, “I don’t know her.”
