Oh my gosh, you guys, can you BELIEVE it?! Our queen, the absolute ICON, is coming back to acting! After, like, fifteen years, she’s going to be in a new series created by Ryan Murphy – you know, the genius behind everything amazing? It’s called *All’s Fair* and it’s coming to Hulu! I’m seriously losing it right now. She’s already a total boss with her beauty line, but seeing her act again? It’s a dream come true!

Oh my gosh, you guys, Jessica said the most amazing thing! She told Erin Lim Rhodes from TopMob News that turning 45 feels like a total rebirth for her. She actually said it’s like a ‘resurrection’ of her love for everything entertainment, and it just sounded *so* genuine and happy! I’m seriously obsessed with how she’s feeling right now.

This year has been a period of significant change for Jessica. She began by announcing her split from husband Eric Johnson in January. Despite this personal challenge, Jessica has gotten back to performing after releasing new music, all while co-parenting her three children – Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6 – with her ex.

Taking a break from my career for 15 years felt like a really long time, honestly. It wasn’t necessarily my plan, but then I had another child, and I realized my priority was being a mom. So, I shifted my focus to nurturing my family while also building the Jessica Simpson Collection as much as I could. It was about balancing both worlds!

Okay, so you won’t BELIEVE this! Ryan—Ryan freaking Murphy—reached out to her! This is HUGE because it’s her first time acting on screen since that little *Entourage* cameo way back in 2010. And honestly? It’s NOTHING like anything she’s ever done before. It’s a total departure, and I’m living for it!

I received a call about the show *All’s Fair*, and I was shocked—I couldn’t believe Ryan Murphy wanted *me* for it! I’m usually cast in comedic roles, often as a silly blonde character. This project is completely different from anything I’ve done before.

The singer, known for “Irresistible,” revealed that Rick Springfield is her love interest in the project. She described having intimate scenes that pushed her boundaries, but credited director Anthony Hemingway with making her feel safe and comfortable throughout the process. Her character is portrayed as fragile and experiences intense emotional moments, including crying.

Jessica explained that getting ready for her part involved a four-hour prosthetics application, and she looked to her fellow cast members for ideas and guidance.

Working with incredible actresses like Naomi Watts, Kim Kardashian, and Niecy Nash was such a gift. They all carried themselves with this calm, quiet confidence that immediately put me at ease and allowed me to fully immerse myself in my role. Honestly, it was a phenomenal experience, and I’m already hoping I get to do something like that again soon!

And her youngest daughter Birdie may follow in her footsteps to work in entertainment as well.

“She said she’s ready now,” Jessica told TopMob. “She’s 6.”

Earlier this month, Birdie showed her love for her mom, singer Jessica, by dressing up as her for Spirit Week at school. She wore a black shirt with the cover image from Jessica’s 1999 album, *Sweet Kisses*.

Okay, so get this – it was *her* idea, which totally floored me! I didn’t even realize I still had that old concert t-shirt, but she somehow *found* it! Honestly, though, it makes so much sense. Even before she started watching my stuff online, she was *always* dancing and singing, just living life with this incredible energy. She’s just naturally got it, you know? It’s like it’s always been inside her!

Jessica Simpson celebrated her ex-husband Eric Johnson’s 44th birthday with their three children – Maxwell Drew, Ace Knute, and Birdie Mae – on September 15, 2023.

I was so thrilled to be there when Jessica threw a beautiful baby shower for little Birdie back in January 2019! It was such a special day, surrounded by all the women who love her, as they celebrated the upcoming arrival of her daughter.

Singer Akon is known for hosting great birthday parties. He shared a family photo from his son Ace’s fifth birthday in June 2018 on Instagram, captioning it, “Baseball and Parrots – a five-year-old’s dream come true! #ACEKNUTE #5 #Parrotdise #GreenSox.”

In May 2018, the Simpson women and their daughters had a memorable trip to Disneyland, filled with fun moments reminiscent of Minnie Mouse.

While in New York, the family went to see Frozen on Broadway and they were all smiles.

For Maxwell’s sixth birthday the family had a Greatest Showman themed bash and it looked amazing.
