Why Shrinking’s Jessica Williams Is “Not Scared” of Harrison Ford

Jessica Williams isn’t shrinking in Harrison Ford‘s presence.

To clarify, the 36-year-old explained her strategies for feeling self-assured when collaborating with the cinematic icon before embarking on the project titled “Shrinking“.

Jessica shared with the Associated Press that she had intentionally avoided watching any of his movies prior to their collaboration during a joint interview on the red carpet before their Televerse panel on August 15. In her own words, “I had consciously decided not to watch your films before we began working together. I had seen them before, but I wanted our relationship to be as ordinary as possible. I didn’t want to get starstruck and feel intimidated by you.

Jessica shared that her method worked, confirming to the actor, “I’m not scared of you.”

Harrison concurred, expressing that she indeed felt at ease collaborating with him, adding playfully, “No, she doesn’t fear me.

During the discussion, the playful banter persisted, and when Harrison, who is married to Calista Flockhart, was questioned about seeking advice from his co-stars, he humorously replied, “No, I head home for that. It’s there I receive my guidance.

Jessica also stepped in, agreeing, “Never in a million years would he do that!”

Additionally, not just the latest event, but there have been other humorous instances between them this year as well. In fact, back in February during the SAG Awards, their on-screen presence stood out significantly during the “I am an actor” segment.

In the background, Harrison was casually munching on a chip when he suddenly became aware that he, too, was being filmed as Jessica stood before the camera, expressing how Los Angeles, often called the city of dreams, had fulfilled all her aspirations.

Upon the audience’s burst of laughter, Jessica turned around and said, “I had told him to look away!

She then added, “Don’t look!”

Previously, the former member of “The Daily Show” has offered insights about their relationship and what makes them such a successful team.

According to what she shared with People last November, Jessica said, “We find humor in each other,” or simply put, “We both enjoy making one another laugh.” She also added that they share a fun bond during filming, as he appreciates her and she admires him for his enthusiasm in their joint projects.
