Taylor Frankie Paul is accepting this new role.
Oh my gosh, I’m SO excited! Apparently, Meri from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is going to be involved with The Bachelorette! She was talking about it, and she said she’s looking at this as a total new beginning for herself. I just know she’s going to bring something amazing to the show, and I can’t wait to see what she does with it! It’s like, a whole new chapter for her, and I’m completely here for it!
In a preview for the new season, Taylor shared with TopMob News that she feels like she received this as a sign of things to come, suggesting it’s meant for a new phase in her life.
The past ten years of the 31-year-old’s life have been very public. This includes her divorce from Tate Paul, with whom she has two children, 8-year-old Indy and 5-year-old Ocean, and her recent breakup with Dakota Mortensen, which occurred shortly after she welcomed their son, Ever, who is now 23 months old.
Taylor shared that she’s faced criticism, judgment, and rejection, but believes those who truly get to know her will see she’s a sincere person with good intentions who deserves another chance at finding love.
Plus, she’s excited to be making Bachelor Nation history.
Becoming the Bachelorette is a first for me,” the popular mom influencer shared. “I’m definitely different – I’m the first lead who hasn’t been on the show before. But I have a lot of respect for the women who’ve done this before me.
Before the official contestant list for Taylor’s season was revealed on February 23rd, she spoke with host Jessie Palmer about the men, describing them as “gentlemen” and hinting that she felt a connection with several of them.
She explained in an interview last November that letting people go is simply part of the job. She admitted it’s tough saying goodbye and being separated from her family, especially since she’s never lived away from them before. However, she also shared that she’s actually enjoyed the challenge and uncertainty of the situation.
Even though being the Bachelorette is emotionally complicated, Taylor is optimistic that she’ll find love throughout the process.

She admitted it was hard to say, but she worried about ending up hurt if her feelings weren’t returned – she really hoped this would be a two-way connection.
Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette premieres on March 22 on ABC and Hulu.
