The story…
When Prue McKeel’s baby brother is kidnapped by a flock of crows, she fearlessly embarks on a dangerous rescue into the Wildwood – a magical forest secretly located near Portland, Oregon. Accompanied by her clumsy but devoted classmate, Curtis, Prue encounters talking animals, outlaws, and powerful characters motivated by sorrow and desire. As they become entangled in a conflict that could destroy the forest’s delicate balance, Prue must find inner strength and faith she never knew she had. To save her brother and the future of Wildwood, she’ll have to risk it all.

Wildwood is the newest film from Laika, an animation studio founded in 2005 near Portland, Oregon. Laika has created five critically acclaimed animated movies so far: Missing Link (2019), Kubo and the Two Strings (2016), The Boxtrolls (2014), ParaNorman (2012), and Coraline (2009). Each film received an Academy Award® nomination for Best Animated Feature. Kubo and the Two Strings also won the BAFTA® Award for Best Animated Film and was nominated for an Oscar® for Visual Effects. Missing Link received the Golden Globe® Award for Best Animated Film.
Wildwood is released in cinemas on 23rd October 2026
