Will Death Stranding 2 come to Xbox?
Although Kojima Productions hasn’t officially announced it yet, there’s a strong possibility that Death Stranding 2 could be released on Xbox Series X/S at some point down the line.
As a gamer, I recall waiting patiently for Death Stranding 1 to grace other platforms. Interestingly, it debuted first on an innovative PlayStation console, eventually finding its footing on the Xbox ecosystem much later.
Considering the growing relationship between Xbox and PC lately, and a potential PC version likely on the horizon, it seems the wait may not be as extended.
When could Death Stranding 2 come to Xbox? Release speculation
Contrary to a PC version, for which we can estimate its potential release date more accurately, we currently lack the ability to predict when an Xbox version might become available.
In 2024, on the 7th of November, the Xbox Series X/S version of Death Stranding debuted, marking an impressive gap of approximately four years and a day since its initial release for PlayStation 4 back in 2019.
If we estimate a comparable timeline for Death Stranding 2, it might be slated for launch around June 2030, which could potentially be on an upcoming Xbox system. Doesn’t that release date seem rather far off?
Given the closer connection between the Xbox and PC platforms nowadays, it’s plausible that a version for Xbox might be released concurrently with the PC version, potentially as early as 2026.
