Before experiencing a period of instability, their last significant financial activity was depositing $128.5 million in Bitcoin with Gemini.
Winklevoss twins hit lowest BTC balance
This significant sale reduced their Bitcoin holdings to approximately 8,800 BTC, the smallest amount they’ve held since 2012.
When Bitcoin prices dropped, rumors spread that the twins were starting to doubt its future.
Because of this, some traders are interpreting the recent withdrawal as a potential signal that people are starting to buy Bitcoin again. Following yesterday’s price increase, they’re taking advantage of the current lower price to purchase more.
