With Love, Meghan’s Biggest Revelations About Prince Harry, Kids

If your jam is hoarding hostess tips from Meghan Markle, then you are in luck.

In the second season of “With Love, Megan,” you can find streaming on Netflix. Notable guests like Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, and Jay Shetty are featured, joining Mrs. Sussex in a kitchen that isn’t hers, for engaging discussions about life and preparing delicious, visually appealing dishes together.

Anticipating the outcome, the founder of As Ever delighted us with tidbits about Prince Harry, hinting at the exceptional taste of the chicken Meghan had cooked on the night he proposed, and his family – 6-year-old Prince Archie and 4-year-old Princess Lilibet. The conversation also ventured into deeper topics such as parenting, aging, and friendship.

In an interview with People before the August 26 premiere, Meghan expressed, “It’s a wonderful sensation to rediscover oneself once more – a part of me that was always there but I couldn’t focus on as much when my children were younger. Now that they are older, it’s a beautiful opportunity to do so.

In addition, her acting career flourished particularly on the show “Suits,” but it was her personal lifestyle blog, The Tig, that truly reflected her identity. She closed down this blog prior to her marriage into the royal family.

After finding herself back in her comfort zone, Meghan remarked that Harry notices a certain gleam in his eyes whenever he witnesses her engaging in the activity she was known for when they first met.

Indeed, Harry momentarily paused surfing to rejoin his wife Meghan and esteemed chef Clare Smyth – who had prepared their wedding in 2018 – for a photoshoot together.

Clare shared in a recent interview with the Sunday Times that Meghan is exceptionally skilled in cooking, displaying creativity, and has a keen sense of taste. Before preparing poached halibut paired with seasonal vegetables and bone broth for their show, they sourced fish from a local market near Meghan and Harry’s residence in Montecito, California, and gathered herbs freshly grown in Meghan’s garden.

Delve further to discover if Meghan pronounces the ‘h’ in ‘herb’ emphatically, along with additional disclosures from the book ‘With Love, Meghan‘.

Meghan Markle shared in season two that she made husband Prince Harry and his friends custom baseball hats bearing “PH40″—his initials and age—in honor of his 40th birthday in September 2024.

Prior to setting off for a girls’ vacation in Malibu with friend Heather Dorak, Meghan discussed the ways she has evolved since her twenties.

Upon first meeting, our bond was formed around shared interests in health and fitness,” she explained. “We used to run together regularly, and now, as mothers of two children each, our friendship has evolved significantly. Our husbands are close friends too, making our families interconnected in a lovely way.

The former Suits star went on to share how her thoughts about aging have evolved as well.

In a straightforward manner, she shared, “It’s wonderful to navigate the process of personal development during your 20s, start gaining clarity in your 30s, and it’s truly amazing to be in your 40s. This journey is necessary for reaching one’s rightful destination. It’s been fascinating to observe as we age, becoming more confident and comfortable as women with our identities, selves, and bodies.

Observing them enjoying cookies and wine together now, Meghan commented, “We’ve entered a new phase.

Meghan admitted that her old co-star from “Deal or No Deal” was someone she hadn’t seen for close to 20 years. However, they rekindled their connection a few years ago after Meghan initiated contact with them.

When they finally got together in season two, the pair reminisced about old times on set.

“I remember all having to stand in line,” Meghan recalled, “to get our lashes put on in a row.”

Since their last meeting, it’s been revealed that the Duchess of Sussex has been following Chrissy’s professional progress closely.

After I stopped watching that show, around a year afterward, you became well-known, as Meghan shared. I was astounded, seeing you on the cover of Sports Illustrated… You were still so kind.

Following Meghan’s unintentional mistake when she called the Hawthorn flower “Honsworth,” Chrissy playfully suggested that perhaps the royal had been revealing the title for her hidden third child in a subtle way.

As the Cravings cookbook author noted, “I was like, ‘You have a kid named Honsworth?'”

In response, Meghan quipped playfully, “Indeed, there are those who haven’t heard of my child. Incredibly, if I could’ve managed to keep such a secret, now that’s truly impressive!

In the second season, Harry was momentarily present, joining Meghan and Chef Clare Smyth, who had flown in especially for the occasion, during a unique episode. A photograph of the trio, titled “Surprise Visit!”, was snapped at this time.

Meghan, who has children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet together with Harry, affectionately referred to her “sweet little boy” as the “most gentle, lovely, cherubic child ever known.

“I always wanted to be a mom,” Meghan added. “I love it. It’s better than I even expected.”

Meghan had to face the music after her move from London to California.

She confessed to Tan France that among the things she dearly misses from the U.K. is the radio station called Magic. “I’ll sound like a classic grandmother,” she added.

These days, she noted her playlists can range from soul to country music.

I’m utterly smitten with a radio station in my ride that goes by the name ‘Mom Jeans.’ It’s like a nostalgic time capsule filled with tracks you thought were long forgotten, but can’t help but belt out!

Cooking might be one of Meghan’s love languages, but her dishes don’t always turn out egg-celent.

She shared that on the very evening her husband asked for her hand in marriage, she was cooking a roasted chicken; this dish was also our choice for our wedding meal. To this day, she prepares it at least once a week. Interestingly, when preparing that roast chicken for my future spouse, I faced numerous difficulties converting between Celsius and Fahrenheit scales.

She admitted that the chicken she prepared on that particular night was simply awful, really inedible. However, the message here is clear: Even if you cook something disastrous, someone might still appreciate the effort and the thought behind it.

During Clare’s segment, she jokingly pointed out that Harry often teases her for saying “erbs” instead of “herbs,” as if the initial ‘h’ is silent in her pronunciation.

The actress disclosed that during her pregnancy, she consulted with an Ayurvedic physician, who specializes in an ancient Indian healing method, for advice. However, she lamented to guest Samin Nosrat about having to consume “numerous” dates, expressing the word “numerous” as simply “so many.

Although fans are aware that Meghan has a fondness for jams, it was during season one that she disclosed her interest in preserving jams deepened after her move with Harry to their residence in Montecito, California, where she immersed herself in the preserve-making process.

In the second episode of “With Love, Meghan,” she mentioned that these vines had been here since we moved in, as she carefully plucked berries. This, she explained, was the source of inspiration for her jam and preserves crafting.

As for Meghan’s favorite preserve?

The Duchess of Sussex shared that she enjoys apple butter because it reminds her of a sentimental memory from her grandmother. She added that her children Archie and Lilinow will now associate the aroma with returning home from school and finding the scent of slowly cooked fruit filling their house, knowing it’s her preparing some preserves once more.

In fact, Meghan said Lili has even tried her hand at preserve-making.

In episode five, she stated that Lili and I had collaborated on making the batch of strawberry preserve, as she served it. Not only did Lili gather all the berries with her, but she also insisted on getting involved in the process, offering to stir and mash the mixture. She took over and managed to keep herself safe from the hot contents while pouring it in. What’s more, Lili seemed proud of her efforts, which made the whole experience fulfilling for her.

However, it appears Harry, who made a cameo on season one, has some culinary skills too.

In the fifth episode, Meghan happily mentioned that her husband, known by his nickname, is an exceptional cook, particularly when it comes to preparing delicious breakfasts.

The duchess also offered some insight into how the Duke of Sussex likes to season his food.

Meghan shared in the second episode that her husband always adds salt to his food before tasting it, so she plans to reduce the amount of salt she uses when cooking for him.

In terms of her fashion, Meghan mentioned that she enjoys a mix-and-match approach called the “high-end/low-end” style, where she combines high-priced and more affordable clothing items.

As a devoted fan, I’d like to share an intriguing fashion detail from the first season of my favorite show, Suits. During an episode where Mindy Kaling was our esteemed guest for a delightful tea party, the enchanting lead actress revealed her outfit for the occasion. She donned a pair of stylish pants from Zara, paired them with a refined top from Loro Piana, and completed the look with a cozy sweater by Jenni Kayne.

In the series, Meghan not only demonstrates her passion for hosting, cooking, gardening, and interior design, but also reveals aspects of her other hobbies and interests.

For instance, in one episode, she hosted a game night for her friends.

Over the past few months, we’ve embarked on a shared journey to learn Mahjong. Originating in China during the 1800s, we play the American version of this intriguing game. What I find truly delightful about Mahjong is not just the game itself being enjoyable, but the experience of discovering something new alongside friends, and realizing that as our friendships grow, so does the Mahjong session in the background.

In a different episode, it was mentioned by Tatcha’s founder, Vicky Tsai (who is also her friend), that Meghan Markle enjoys playing pickleball. Additionally, Meghan herself disclosed some of the music genres she favors.

In the fifth episode, Meghan mentioned that she enjoys listening to a considerable amount of soft rock from the 1970s, yacht rock, soul, and French music suitable for dinner parties.

And when it come to food, she said she has a “very, very high tolerance” for spice.

As a self-proclaimed travel enthusiast, I was fortunate even in my youth to embark on numerous adventures, thanks to my mother’s profession as a travel agent. We would savor an array of exotic flavors and explore diverse locales that still tantalize my taste buds today. My mom, a masterful cook, would often whip up gumbo and other soul-stirring Soul food dishes that boasted an intoxicating blend of flavor and spice. This culinary journey has left me with an insatiable craving for the very same level of heat and intensity in my meals. Now, I’m delighted to share this passion for bold flavors with my own family, continually seeking out new ways to expand our collective palate.

In the second episode of its premiere season, Meghan shared that her childhood was characterized by frequent meals at fast-food restaurants and TV dinners served on trays.

She mused, reflecting back on episode two, ‘It seems like a completely different era,’ due to the commonplace nature of microwavable children’s meals segmented into compartments…Growing up, I was accustomed to this, spending my time watching Jeopardy! and consuming a lot of fast food.

Her favorites at the time?

As a devotee of flavorful fast food, I’d often indulge in generous portions of Pollo Loco and Taco Bell, with an extra kick from their scorching hot sauce on those delightful Mexican pizzas. And let’s not forget Jack in the Box, a favorite haunt of mine due to my mom’s affection for their tantalizing tacos.

In addition to those memories, Meghan also recounted stories from her Girl Scout days during her childhood.

In the fourth episode, she mentioned that she had been a Girl Scout for quite some time. She began as a Daisy, which is typically when girls are around 5 or 6 years old. She also shared that her mother served as the troop leader – Troop 949.

In 2020, Harry and Meghan chose to step down from their active roles within the royal family. However, they retained their titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

And in With Love, Meghan, she explained why the Sussex name is so meaningful to her.

In the second episode, Meghan explained to Mindy that it’s amusing she continues to refer to her as Meghan Markle, given that she is now part of the Sussex family. She added, “You have children and you call them by your own name. But when I say ‘our family name,’ it carries a special significance. It represents our small, unique family unit.

Speaking of Archie and Lili, Meghan offered a few insights into their world in the series.

The mom of two shared that her children share her passion for gardening, mentioning they even have their own gardening tools to show their dedication. Additionally, she discussed her daughter’s fondness for all things pink and the special cleanup tune she sings.

In the fifth episode, Meghan put a musical twist on it by saying, “Keep your space tidy, and I’ve turned that into a catchy tune: ‘Tidy up along the way, Tidy up, tidy up, keep everything organized day by day.’

Furthermore, Meghan mentioned their shared activities such as brewing sun tea together with Archie and an instance when Archie caught a trout while fishing. She also opened up about her passion for cooking with her children.

In episode five, she expressed that it’s deeply important for her students to experience and remember, ‘Mommy would often make this.’

Long before she was an actress or a duchess, Meghan had her first job at an ice cream shop.

Reflecting back, I found myself stepping into the world of work at just thirteen, having landed my very first job at the renowned Humphrey Yogart.

Later on, Meghan helped make doughnuts.

She shared that the mention of doughnuts brought back memories of her childhood, as she’d once worked at a small shop named Lil Orbits Donuts. There, instead of regular doughnut holes, they produced minuscule mini-doughnuts which they sold at craft fairs. Her role was to assist in this process.

And when she was in college, Meghan worked at a bar in Chicago.

In simpler terms, the Northwestern University graduate expressed that after completing two majors, they initially planned to move to Chicago and work as a coat-check girl to earn additional income. However, they were advised that they could instead become a cocktail waitress.

However, following her confusion over a customer’s martini request, Meghan noted that her manager advised her to return to her role as a coat-check attendant.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Meghan has shared her past experiences, which include conducting gift-wrapping workshops, leading bookmaking classes at Paper Source, and serving as a hostess at the Mirabelle Restaurant located on Sunset Boulevard.

In the fourth episode, where Meghan is seen hosting an event alongside Nacho Figueras’ wife, Delfina Blaquier, she takes a moment to reminisce about her experiences living overseas.

In Argentina, what captivated me strongly resembled California to me, with its scenic mountains and vibrant zest for life outdoors. The duchess explained this, having spent just a short while there working at the US embassy, yet she adored every moment of it.

As a devoted fan, I can proudly say that I followed Meghan’s journey as Rachel Zane in Suits from 2011 to 2018. One moment I’ll always remember is when I learned she was relocating to Toronto for this remarkable role – a testament to her dedication and passion for her craft.

In the second episode, she said, “I learn it’s been chosen. It’s located in Toronto. Well, what does that entail?” Then she continued, “Alright, one season in Toronto. Fantastic. Two seasons. Now, I wonder if my life will be relocated to this new location? Fortunately, I have a fondness for Canada and have always attempted to bring the cast over or people I meet at the dog park with my pet.

In fact, her costar Abigail Spencer appears in one of the With Love, Meghan episodes.

In January 2025, Meghan announced her beloved dog, Guy, passed away.

In various episodes of the Netflix show, the charming beagle frequently stole the limelight, with Meghan often expressing her affection for him openly.

In episode four, she expressed, “I’d go to any length for Guy, and he’s aware of that.” She added, “He can ask for anything because he adapts to the kind of man you need him to be on different days-he’s my sweetheart one moment, my jester another, my sassy guy sometimes, and always my pampered one.

And he was always by her side.

She mentioned in episode five that the man is consistently by her side. She refers to him as her constant companion, one who has been with her for an incredibly extended period. The man has been part of her life ever since she lived in Toronto. He was discovered in a forest in Kentucky, and he’s accompanied her through moves to the U.K., back to Canada, and even to California. So, indeed, the man has quite a few tales to share.

After the conclusion of season one, Meghan expressed that the show was dedicated with love to Guy.
