Akihiro Hino, the creator of the Inazuma Eleven series, has announced he’s begun development on a new game following last year’s release, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, which is nearing one million copies sold.
During a recent livestream, as reported by Gematsu, the developer revealed they’ve begun writing the story for the next installment in the soccer RPG series.
He said:
As a fresh start for Inazuma Eleven in this new era, we’re committed to bringing back the excitement and surprises fans love. Stay tuned for more news!
Although Inazuma Eleven came out in the Reiwa era, it was first announced in 2016, during the Heisei era, and took a long time to develop. It seems Hino is talking about this lengthy development process.
Good news for Inazuma Eleven fans: your progress in Victory Road will carry over to the new game, as the developers have confirmed.
It sounds like development on the new game has just begun, so it likely won’t be released for a few years.
