Easier Submissions
To increase your chances of a successful submission, it’s helpful to first wear down your opponent. Focus on attacking their limbs one after another, and then capitalize on their weakened state with the submission.
Tag Team Stray Damage
In team matches, always try to damage the opponents who aren’t currently fighting. This lowers their health before they even enter the ring, which is particularly helpful when you’re facing more enemies than teammates.
Tag Out Often
To win tag team matches, keep your wrestlers fresh by tagging out often. This helps maintain their energy and keeps the match moving. A good strategy is to hit your current opponent, then quickly attack their teammate who isn’t actively in the ring, hit your opponent again, and then tag out to a fresh teammate.
Unexpected Finishers
If you can, don’t do finishing moves right away. Especially if your opponent is expecting one while they’re already down. Instead, surprise them with it! Catching them off guard makes it much harder for them to block or counter your attack.
Attacking the edges of the map is often easy for opponents to defend against, so it’s best to avoid these ‘corner’ approaches when you can.
Charged Finishers
It’s best not to try and charge up finishing moves, because it leaves you open for opponents to counter. You can quickly cancel those moves anytime by pressing LB or L1.
Promos And Power Cards
Don’t use promotional cards randomly. They’re most effective when used strategically and at the right time.
Hold onto your best power cards earned from completing commissioner goals – they’ll give your ratings a significant increase. Use any other power cards only when you really need to.
