In the final act of WWE’s Evolution 2, the highly anticipated main event unfolded with the WWE Women’s World Championship at stake. Two exceptional wrestlers, Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley, faced off in
At the onset of their contest, it became evident that Ripley and Sky possess a deep understanding of one another, engaging in subtle mental maneuvers within the initial moments. They displayed mutual respect towards one another, after which they accelerated at an impressive pace, with their performance reaching new heights.

After that point, Sky repeatedly managed to disrupt Ripley’s progression, preventing her from gaining momentum. However, things took an unexpected turn when Sky attempted a missile dropkick from the top rope, which inadvertently knocked out the referee instead of Ripley. Subsequently, Ripley performed a Riptide on Sky and held her down for nearly a complete 10-count. Unfortunately, since the referee was unconscious, Ripley missed out on winning the match.
In the heat of the match, things became increasingly disorderly. Actions extended beyond the ring and invaded the crowd. Ripley hurled Sky over the barrier, leading to a continuation of the fight in various sections of the stadium. At one point, Sky jumped off a towering pile of equipment and collided forcefully with Ripley on the ground below. Eventually, the battle returned to the ring, but it seemed as if a winner might soon be determined until Naomi’s music suddenly played.
A New Champion
Naomi rushed towards the ring, clutching her Money in the Bank case, despite limping slightly from her previous bout against Jade Cargill. She wasn’t going to miss this chance. Once the cash-in was authorized, Naomi struck Sky on the head with the briefcase and then charged into the ring, driving Ripley shoulder-first into the ring post. After executing a finishing move on Sky, she pinned her down, ending the reign of the Champion.
Naomi has just become the new WWE Women’s World Champion, leaving Ripley and Sky speechless after the unexpected turn of events. The audience was equally shocked but also showed immense admiration for Naomi. This victory is well-earned for a superstar who has been consistently impressive throughout the year. With this win, Naomi regains her title, and it will be intriguing to see what happens next in her championship journey.
Regarding Ripley, it’s evident that she held the upper hand at one point in the fight and has a compelling argument for another bout given how close it was to a 10-count. Nonetheless, the outcome is officially a loss for her, marking another defeat against Sky in their ongoing rivalry. Maybe the next battle will be the one where Ripley secures the victory, but for now, she must face Naomi to have another opportunity for the Championship title.
