WWE Evolution 2’s Battle Royal Winner Sets up Epic Clash in Paris Title Match (But Who Will She Challenge?)

At WWE’s Evolution 2, the Battle Royal saw 20 contestants fighting to earn a title shot at WWE’s Clash in Paris. The event offered several intriguing possibilities for the winner. Initially, the match began rather lethargically, but it quickly gained momentum around the midpoint and concluded dramatically, particularly focusing on the remaining four combatants. Following an intense confrontation that hinted at future blockbuster battles, the victor emerged as the new number one contender, creating excitement for her upcoming appearance at Clash in Paris. However, there’s still a mystery surrounding who she will challenge for the Championship upon arrival.

In this event known as “The Battle Royal”, contestants such as Lola Vice, Michin, B-Fab, Candice LeRae, Tatum Paxley, Piper Niven, Alba Fyre, Kelani Jordan, Izzi Dame, Lash Legend, Ivy Nile, Stephanie Vaquer, Zelina Vega, Giulia, Jaida Parker, Nikki Bella, Chelsea Green, Nia Jax, Maxxine Dupri, and Natalya were all present. Shortly after, it was evident that two participants were removed from the competition. Initially, Jax displayed an impressive performance by ousting Paxley and Dame. However, despite her efforts to eliminate Jordan as well, she managed to avoid elimination and made it to the commentary table.

As the events unfolded in the ring, Jordan was trying to devise a strategy to re-enter, eventually settling on an aggressive approach. She performed a handstand and moved herself across the floor using her hands until she got her feet under the bottom rope. This feat alone was remarkable, but what followed was even more astonishing. She managed to hoist herself up, grabbed the ropes, thus avoiding elimination – a feat that wouldn’t be a one-time occurrence as she continued to find ways to remain in the match.

In the match, Vaquer held Nile in an armbar near the ropes, and when Giulia saw this, she gave Nile a shove to completely take her out of the competition. This triggered a confrontation between the previous friends, following which they shook hands before engaging in a flurry of punches and headbutts. Eventually, Vaquer executed a suplex on Giulia. Later, Vaquer faced off against Bella, just about to deliver the Devil’s Kiss maneuver on Bella when Green intervened, causing a wave of boos from the crowd.

Initially, The Secret Service attempted to capture Bella, but she received assistance from Dupri and Natalya. Soon after, Natalya even attempted the ‘worm’, causing much laughter. Parker subsequently eliminated Natalya, instigating a battle between Parker and Dupri. Eventually, LeRae removed Dupri, but Dupri managed to retaliate by helping eliminate LeRae.

Subsequently, Parker was removed by B-Fab and Michin, who were met with jeers from the audience. On the other hand, Jordan managed to dodge elimination at the hands of Jax, but later, LeRae intervened from outside the ring to eliminate her. Over yonder in the opposite corner, Vega and Giulia resumed their rivalry from their previous bout, with Vega securing victory this time around, defeating Giulia and gaining some retribution.

Initially, Niven removed contestant B-Fab, and subsequently, Michin was eliminated by Green. Following this, Legend disqualified Vega, followed by Bella ousting Fyre. This sequence of events led to a series of signature moves between Bella and Vice in the center of the ring. Not long after, Niven managed to eliminate Vice. In an unexpected turn of events, both Niven and Bella were then eliminated by a strategic team-up between Bella and Vaquer. Vaquer later retaliated against Green with the Devil’s Kiss, and immediately afterward, Bella disqualified Green from the competition.

Later, Jax mimicked Bella’s signature move, but it was really Legend who sent Bella out of the game. In a turn of events, Bella lunged at Jax with a powerful kick, unintentionally hitting Bella instead. This didn’t seem to bother Bella in the slightest. Almost eliminating Jax next, Jax managed to cling onto the ropes. Using Vaquer as a tool, Legend had Vaquer strike Jax repeatedly, but Jax remained standing. In an attempt to finish Jax off, both Legend and Vaquer attacked her, ultimately knocking her down, leaving only them in the competition.

In an epic exchange, Vaquer responded forcefully after receiving a powerful blow from Legend. She retaliated with a stunning superkick, followed by a 619 and a crossbody. However, she was caught in mid-air. Legend attempted to eliminate her, but Vaquer countered by pulling Legend along as well. Both wrestlers clung onto the ropes, and Vaquer executed a devilish kiss on Legend at the ring apron, sending her tumbling to the floor and securing Vaquer’s victory in the Evolution 2 Battle Royal.

With this victory, Vaquer secures a chance to compete in a Championship Final at Clash in Paris. However, it’s uncertain whom she will battle for the Title. Following the match conclusion, Tiffany Stratton and Iyo Sky held both Women’s Championships, with many expecting Sky to be her opponent due to them being on Raw. Yet, as we’ll soon discover, this doesn’t always dictate who owns specific titles. Consequently, there’s a possibility that Vaquer contends for either the Raw or SmackDown Championship.
