WWE Reveals 6 NXT Superstars Joining Evolution 2 Battle Royal (With One Glaring Snub)

This weekend marks the long-anticipated comeback of WWE’s Evolution, although the final lineup isn’t completely set yet. The main reason for this uncertainty is a Battle Royal that will involve stars from Monday Night Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. At present, only two superstars have been confirmed for the match, with the rest of the roster still to be announced. Tonight’s NXT broadcast gave us some updates (and hinted at others), but one notable omission has left many fans surprised, as they had expected this individual to be part of such a significant event.

Ava Raine, the NXT General Manager, stepped into the ring to unveil the six contestants participating in the Battle Royal at Evolution. The lucky superstars included Jaida Parker, Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, Lash Legend, Izzi Dame, and Tatum Paxley. These six individuals are undoubtedly among NXT’s most beloved, with Paxley garnering the loudest cheer during the announcement, closely followed by Parker.

Additionally, numerous other stars from NXT will participate in various bouts on the program. For instance, the contest for the NXT Women’s Championship pits Jacy Jayne against Jordynne Grace. Moreover, a female duo from NXT is participating in the Women’s Tag Team Championships Fatal 4-Way. This team comprises Sol Ruca and Zaria, who will challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, the current champions, as well as The Kabuki Warriors and the newly formed pair of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. It’s a significant task, but they might just bring more Championship titles to NXT by the match’s end.

Among the four prominent stars and the other six competitors in the Battle Royal, the NXT Women’s Division has put up a commendable performance. However, it’s worth noting that one significant name is missing from this lineup – Blake Monroe, the highly anticipated free agent signing who made quite an entrance and could undeniably shine under the spotlight at such a high-profile live event, given the abundance of NXT talent involved. It’s surprising to see her absence, but there’s a possibility that she might still appear in the match or have a role during the event.

If that event doesn’t occur, it’s quite puzzling to put it mildly. Ever since Monroe joined the brand, she’s been a regular on TV, either backstage or in-ring segments. There are plenty of potential feuds that could be developed for her in a Battle Royal setting. It might be that she’ll somehow still be involved, but if not, it’s definitely unexpected.

As a movie critic, I must say that last night’s final segment of the Battle Royal gave us a tantalizing sneak peek into some of the stars who are bound to make a splash in this epic event. Following the announcement of six new superstars, a host of other potential contenders gathered at the ring. Among them were Stephanie Vaquer, Zelina Vega, Ivy Nile, Natalya, Maxxine Dupri, and Giulia. While it’s already confirmed that Stephanie Vaquer and Nikki Bella will be there, I have a feeling that the rest of these talented individuals are poised to make their mark in the Battle Royal as well.
