X-Men: Popular Professor X Fan Cast on if He’s Ever Joining the MCU

Actor Colman Domingo has addressed whether or not he’ll ever join the live-action MCU.

Oscar Isaac plays Norman Osborn in the animated series ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ from Marvel Studios. This show exists outside of the main Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking place in a separate timeline. The second season is anticipated to premiere sometime in 2026.

There’s been a lot of discussion about whether actor Oscar Isaac, often referred to as ‘Domingo,’ will appear in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film or series. Fans have speculated he could play Norman Osborn from the main Marvel timeline, or potentially another character—with many suggesting he’d be a great fit for the role of Professor X, a well-known character from the X-Men.

What did Colman Domingo say about joining the MCU?

While on the Golden Globes red carpet with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Domingo was asked if he had any news to share about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a live-action role.

I had a really great conversation with Kevin Feige, and while we haven’t talked since, I’m hopeful about the future. Honestly, I’m eager to join the Marvel universe, but I’m holding out for the perfect role. I’m not just going to say ‘yes’ to anything – I want to be really sure it’s the right fit and that I understand exactly what I’d be doing. It needs to be a deliberate and meaningful choice for me.

Besides playing Spider-Man, actor Selenis Leyva Domingo has appeared in several popular TV series, including Fear the Walking Dead, The Knick, The Madness, The Four Seasons, and Euphoria. Euphoria will be back for its last season later this year.
