Microsoft revealed nine games that will be available on Xbox Game Pass the day they launch. These games span various genres like horror, sci-fi, and platformers, with release dates ranging from very soon to as far out as 2026 – and some don’t have dates yet. However, players who primarily focus on big-budget, AAA titles might not be excited by these additions.
Like with most Xbox Game Pass benefits, these offers are generally for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass PC members (when available on PC). While Xbox Game Pass Premium occasionally gets games on release day, it’s not common.
Routine
Routine is a scary, first-person sci-fi game where you investigate an empty base on the moon. What starts as a simple exploration soon becomes a desperate struggle to survive. The game is being created by Lunar Software and will be published by Raw Fury.

Darkwood II
Darkwood II is the sequel to the popular 2017 survival-horror game, Darkwood, created by Ice-Pick Lodge and published by Hooded Horse. Like its predecessor, Darkwood II challenges players to survive in a harsh environment – this time, a desolate desert landscape filled with terrifying creatures.

Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf
Okay, so I’ve been playing Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf, and it’s awesome! It’s a sequel to Planet of Lana which everyone loved last year. Basically, we pick up right after the first game – Lana and Mui just saved their world from robots, but it turns out their planet is way more complicated and mysterious than they ever realized. It’s a puzzle adventure game with a really cool cinematic feel.

Awaysis
I’m really excited about Alwaysis! It’s an action-adventure game – think dungeon brawler – made by 17-Bit and published by Cult Games. Basically, you play as a group of pretty random heroes who have to work together to climb this ancient, floating relic that’s being attacked by some serious darkness. It sounds like a wild ride!
