However, when multiplayer games are added to Xbox Game Pass, they might not get as much initial attention, but they tend to keep interest longer.
In other words, while single-player games may have a short burst of popularity, multiplayer games sustain interest for a longer period.
Looking at the Xbox Game Pass Core game rankings, we notice that one game added as far back as October 2022 stands out. Remarkably, this game remains among the top five most-played Xbox Game Pass Core games to date, a position it has held since its addition. While we don’t know exactly how many Xbox Game Pass subscribers are actively playing, it’s evident that Chivalry 2 has gained traction with Microsoft’s subscription service.
One of the Best Multiplayer Games on Xbox Game Pass
In simpler terms, “Chivalry 2” has managed to keep a substantial player base despite not being overly popular like some other games. In fact, even though its peak number of simultaneous players on Steam was around 16,959 at launch, it still maintains approximately 3,100 active players today, which is impressive for a game that’s been out for three years. This consistency suggests that the game is high-quality and well-made, even without extensive post-launch support compared to many of its competitors. In other words, “Chivalry 2” is one of my favorite multiplayer games from recent years due to its enduring popularity.
One of the appealing aspects of Chivalry 2 is its wide accessibility on Xbox Game Pass, spanning all subscription tiers – from the most budget-friendly to the premium ones, irrespective of the gaming platform. Unlike many other Xbox Game Pass titles, it’s available to a broad range of subscribers.
