Xbox Game Pass Makes Incredible 140 Hour RPG Free

Xbox Game Pass just got a major addition: a highly-rated RPG available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. This game is known for its massive length – players can easily spend up to 140 hours completing it, and even more if they enjoy replaying it. It’s now one of the best RPGs available through the Microsoft subscription service, and it’s accessible on all tiers: PC, Premium, and Ultimate. While it’s unclear how long the game will stay on Game Pass (typically 12-24 months), players will definitely get their money’s worth, given the sheer amount of content and replay value.

One of the Best RPGs of All Time

Okay, so Persona 5 Royal is seriously amazing. It’s got a score of 95 on Metacritic, and players love it just as much. That instantly puts it up there with the best RPGs ever made – you know, games like The Witcher 3, Mass Effect 2, Skyrim, and Dark Souls that really defined the last decade. It’s a big deal to stand out in a decade with that much competition! But honestly, it’s not for everyone. If you don’t like games with a lot of social interaction, stories that take their time to unfold, anime art styles, or turn-based battles, you might want to skip this one. And be warned: this game is HUGE. You need at least 100 hours – seriously, 100! – just to finish the main story. If you can’t commit that much time, it’s probably not worth starting.

If you have the time to invest, this game offers an amazing experience and is arguably the best in the Persona series – though some longtime fans still prefer Persona 4 Golden. While that’s understandable, Persona 5 brought the series to a wider audience, and its higher score on Metacritic gives it a slight advantage.

Despite the title ‘Persona 5’, you can jump right in without playing any of the previous Persona games. It’s a self-contained story and doesn’t require any prior knowledge of the series.
