Xbox Game Pass Reveals First Wave of New Games for January 2026, Including Star Wars & More

Xbox Game Pass continues to be a hit with gamers, even with recent updates. A big reason is the service consistently adds fresh and exciting games. Kicking off 2026, Xbox is adding a variety of new titles to Game Pass, with the first games becoming available from January 6th through January 20th for all subscribers.

January isn’t usually packed with new game releases, but there are still a few interesting titles coming. It’s also a good time to revisit older games you may have missed. The January 2026 Xbox Game Pass lineup should have something for everyone, whether you love Star Wars or enjoy horror games. Plus, several major games from 2025, like Atomfall and Rematch, will be available.

New Games Arriving on Xbox Game Pass in January 2026

Xbox Game Pass is getting some new games for its Premium, Ultimate, and PC tiers this month. Currently, it doesn’t look like the basic Game Pass Essential plan will receive any new titles in January, but that might change later. Here’s a list of all the games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the first half of January 2026.

  • Brews & Bastards – January 6th for PC and Xbox Series X|S (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass)
  • Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition – January 6th for PC, Handheld, and Xbox Series X|S (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass)
  • Atomfall – January 7th for PC, Handheld, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S (Joining Game Pass Premium, Previously Ultimate Only)
  • Lost in Random: The Eternal Die – January 7th for PC, Handheld, and Xbox Series X|S (Joining Game Pass Premium, Previously Ultimate Only)
  • Rematch – January 7th for PC and Xbox Series X|S (Joining Game Pass Premium, Previously Ultimate Only)
  • Warhammer 40K: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition – January 7th for PC and Xbox Series X|S (Joining Game Pass Premium, Previously Ultimate Only)
  • Final Fantasy – January 8th for PC and Xbox Series X|S (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass)
  • Star Wars Outlaws – January 13th for PC and Xbox Series X|S (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass)
  • My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery – January 15th for PC, Handheld, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass)
  • Resident Evil Village – January 20th for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S (Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, PC Game Pass)
  • MIO: Memories in Orbit (Day One Release) – January 20th for PC, Handheld, and Xbox Series X|S (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass)

Overall, it’s a pretty solid start to the year with a good variety of games. I’m especially hyped about the titles coming from Game Pass Ultimate to Game Pass Premium, like Atomfall and Rematch in 2025. If you’re into horror, you’ll be glad to know classics like Little Nightmares and Resident Evil Village are available. And for JRPG fans, the original Final Fantasy is a total must-play if you haven’t already!

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass in January 2026

It’s always a bit sad, but as new games join Xbox Game Pass, some have to leave. Here’s the list of games that will be going on January 15th – I’m going to miss a couple of these!

  • The Grinch Christmas Adventures
