A new game has just been added to Xbox Game Pass, and it was a complete surprise to subscribers! While it’s been available on Steam since June, it only launched on Xbox Series X and S this week. It’s available through both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass Premium. We don’t know how long it will stay on the service, but it saves players $20 compared to buying it separately.
If you haven’t checked Xbox Game Pass recently, a new game called *Supermarket Simulator* just launched from developer Nokta Games, and it’s off to a great start. It’s already proven popular on PC – it hit over 50,000 players on Steam at the same time and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, with 94% of its 29,623 user reviews being positive. It remains to be seen how well it will do on consoles.
About the Game
Supermarket Simulator is a game where you manage your own grocery store. You’re in charge of everything – setting prices, hiring employees, stocking shelves, and even preventing shoplifting. You also get to design the store layout to maximize sales. As a modern supermarket, you’ll also need to fulfill and deliver online orders, though this aspect of the game isn’t as engaging as running the store itself.
The game typically takes around 20 hours to complete the main story, but there’s a lot more to do if you explore optional content. Many players on Steam have spent hundreds of hours enjoying everything the game has to offer.
One player wrote, ‘I never expected running a grocery store in this game to be so enjoyable! After playing for over 400 hours, I can definitely say it is. It’s easily the best game of 2025 – so much fun!’
