A highly-rated game, which we named our Game of the Year, is coming to Xbox Series X and S. It’s already been released on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2, and while Xbox players are getting it later than others, their version will include a special feature not available anywhere else.
AdHoc Studio plans to release its superhero game, Dispatch, on Xbox Series X and S sometime this summer. A key feature often overlooked is that the Xbox version will support Play Anywhere, meaning you can buy the game once and play it on both your Xbox and Windows PC. Players on PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch would need to purchase the game separately for PC, but Xbox users won’t. Plus, your game progress and achievements will automatically sync across all platforms.
Our Game of the Year
Receiving a score of 89 on Metacritic, Dispatch is among the top-rated games of 2025. It was even named Game of the Year by egmr.ru, surpassing popular titles like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Hades II, and Death Stranding 2. As a result, it’s set to be one of the best games available on Xbox Series X this year. Unlike PlayStation 5 players who experienced the game through an episodic release, Xbox Series X users can play the entire game immediately.
Dispatch is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch family of consoles for $30. It’s expected to be the same price when it launches on Xbox Series X and S, though a slightly lower price is possible since it’s coming to Xbox later. Based on how long it took to release on Switch and the upcoming Switch 2, a price reduction is unlikely. Currently, Dispatch won’t be added to Xbox Game Pass, so players will need to purchase it from the Microsoft Store for $30 or more.
