While you can currently play Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 on PlayStation 5 using older console compatibility, SEGA is also releasing versions specifically designed for the PS5.
On December 8th, RGG Studios will release updated versions of the first two Yakuza games. These re-releases will include everything from the remakes.
It’s currently unclear if people who already own a PS4 will be able to upgrade, but unlike Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, we don’t know for sure yet.
Both games will be released on disc, and a special 20th Anniversary Bundle will also be available for fans. This bundle includes both new games, plus Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut.
How much Yakuza do you think you can handle?
