Beyond Resident Evil Requiem, next month offers a surprising number of new games, including Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Nioh 3, and Reanimal. However, fans of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series can continue enjoying the series’ signature blend of exciting action and compelling stories. This time around, Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties are available, and a free demo is now released on all platforms except PlayStation 4.
In Kiwami, you play as Kazuma Kiryu, the main character of the series, who is now semi-retired and working at an orphanage in Okinawa. But that doesn’t stop you from getting into fights, using powerful fighting styles like the Dragon of Dojima and the Ryukyu Style with different weapons! You can also enjoy side quests, customize Kiryu’s appearance, and even sing karaoke.
In Dark Ties, you’ll play as Yoshitaka Mine, a key villain from the Yakuza series. The game takes place in Kamurocho, and you can experience his unique fighting style – a mix of boxing and shooting – as well as his powerful Dark Awakening ability. Please note that progress from previous games cannot be transferred.
Good news for fans! Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties arrives on Xbox Series X/S, PC, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on February 12th. You can find more information about the game here.
