Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently announced that they’re working on *Yakuza Kiwami 3* at the RGG Summit. This game is a remake of *Yakuza 3*, which originally came out in 2009, and was briefly listed on the studio’s website before the official announcement. You can watch the first trailer below.
Like the first two *Yakuza Kiwami* games, *Yakuza Kiwami 2* has been completely rebuilt with the Dragon Engine. This means significantly improved graphics with realistic textures, more expressive character faces, and richer environments. The game also includes extra story content, new features, and both Japanese and English voiceovers.
In *Yakuza 3*, Kazuma Kiryu is now running an orphanage in Okinawa, but the Ryudo Family is trying to force him out. As he investigates, Kiryu uncovers a larger conspiracy and is inevitably drawn back into fighting. The game is known for its smooth transitions into battles while exploring and features a huge amount of extra content, with over 120 side stories to complete.
We don’t have a release date or know which platforms Yakuza 3 Kiwami will be on yet, but we’ll share more information as the event continues.
