With new episodes of the Yellowstone spin-off, Marshals, coming out each week, anticipation is growing for the debut of another spin-off, Dutton Ranch.
The new series, Dutton Ranch, will continue the stories of Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) and Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) from the original show. A new actor has also been added to the cast.
I was really excited to hear that Morgan Wade, the country artist who put out a fantastic album last year, is going to be in a TV series! Apparently, this will be her first time acting, and she’s landed a recurring role, which is a huge step. As a fan of both her music and a good story, I’m definitely tuning in to see how she does.
Wade is taking on the role of a bartender named Carol at a local bar in Rio Paloma, Texas. People say she’s an observant woman who notices everything.

The new series will center on Beth and Rip as they work to create a life for themselves, escaping the painful memories of Yellowstone.
I’m really excited to see what happens next! The show’s description hints at some incredibly tough challenges for the characters, and a seriously dangerous opposing ranch that will do absolutely anything to stay on top. It sounds like things are about to get intense!
Life in South Texas is tough, where old grudges run deep and simply staying alive could mean losing yourself.

The first season of the show will also feature performances by Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, JR Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind, Ed Harris, and Annette Bening.
Yellowstone’s spin-off series, Marshals, has been renewed for another season, making it the only other show from the Yellowstone universe currently airing.
When CBS announced the show’s renewal, CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach stated that ‘Marshals’ had quickly become a hit, attracting a large audience across various platforms and establishing itself as a major new series on television.
As a huge fan, it’s no surprise to me how many people are loving Yellowstone. It’s not just a show, it’s a whole world they’ve built, and the stories really focus on the characters. Plus, the cast is fantastic – Luke Grimes especially brings so much to the table. It all just works.
Dutton Ranch will air from Friday 15 May on Paramount+.

I’ve been following James Hibbs’ work as a Drama Writer for TopMob for a while now, and he really knows his stuff – covering shows on all sorts of platforms, from streaming services to traditional TV. Before this, he was in PR, first at a business-to-business agency and then at Fremantle, a big international production company. He’s got a strong background too, with a BA in English and Theatre Studies, plus a journalism diploma – an NCTJ Level 5, I believe.
