Yellowstone star to join Sylvester Stallone in all-new “gritty, character-driven” TV series

Cole Hauser, known for his role in Yellowstone, is joining Sylvester Stallone and MGM Television for a new series about the exciting history of poker. The show promises to be a thrilling and unpredictable experience for viewers.

The upcoming series, Blood Aces, will be produced by Hauser, Stallone, and MGM. It’s based on the 2014 biography, Blood Aces: The Wild Ride of Benny Binion, The Texas Gangster Who Created Vegas Poker, written by Doug J Swanson. The book tells the story of Benny Binion – a complex figure who was a cowboy, a casino pioneer, a gangster, and ultimately, the creator of the World Series of Poker.

The book tells the story of Binion, who climbed from humble beginnings in Texas to become a powerful figure. He succeeded by being a shrewd businessman, attracting high-rollers, eliminating his rivals, and controlling law enforcement through corruption.

Binion combined a cool demeanor, natural smarts, down-to-earth charm, and generosity to become a legendary figure in the world of gambling. His flair for showmanship, sharp business sense, and willingness to use force heavily influenced the character of Las Vegas.

Award-winning journalist Doug Swanson reveals how Benny Binion, using newly uncovered government files and extensive research, eliminated his competition and cleverly navigated the world of Las Vegas, ultimately helping to create the city we know today.

Cole Hauser will not only produce the new series, but he’ll also star in it as the character Binion. Sylvester Stallone stated that the role seems perfectly suited for Hauser.

I’ve been reading about Benny Binion, and Douglas J. Swanson’s book really brings his amazing life to light. Binion was a fascinating figure – a real pioneer of the New West who seemed to know everyone, from high rollers to people operating on the fringes of society. It’s incredible how much he did to shape Las Vegas into the city it is today, and he was instrumental in making poker the global phenomenon it’s become. It’s a truly captivating story!

This story is sure to grab viewers’ attention, and Cole Hauser is perfectly cast in the lead role. I’m thrilled to be working with him to make it a reality.

While Stallone hasn’t officially been cast in a leading role yet, we expect he’ll appear in the series. More actors will be announced soon.

Both actors are well-known for their work with Taylor Sheridan. Stallone stars in Tulsa King, while Hauser played a significant role in Yellowstone. Hauser will continue to expand his role in the Yellowstone world, leading the new series The Dutton Ranch and appearing alongside Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth.

I’m really excited about what looks to be a totally different role for Hauser! He’s going to be playing Benny Binion, and from what I’ve read, there’s a lot to this guy’s story. Hauser himself said Binion was a true American original – incredibly ambitious, with a real vision, and definitely not afraid to take risks. He also admitted Binion wasn’t perfect, but his impact is huge, and you can’t deny his legacy. I can’t wait to see what he does with the part!
