At Gamescom 2025, players will finally have the opportunity to experience Hollow Knight: Silksong on the show floor. This revelation indicates that the game will be showcased at the Xbox booth, where it can be played on either a PC or the ROG Xbox Ally X platform.
There’s a high likelihood that the indie sequel could get an official release date during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19th, given the public playable build has been confirmed today. Since Team Cherry aims to release the game before the Holiday 2025 season, a final launch date within the next few months seems plausible.
If you can’t wait to try out the game before Hollow Knight: Silksong releases, you should plan a trip to Cologne, Germany as that’s where Gamescom takes place. The game is confirmed to be available on both PS5 and PS4.
For the sixth consecutive year, PlayStation won’t make an appearance at the expo, whereas Xbox is setting up a booth featuring over twenty games. Noteworthy playable titles include Borderlands 4, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, PowerWash Simulator 2, and Super Meat Boy 3D. The unveiling of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will also be featured in Geoff Keighley’s live broadcast.
