The fresh start of the DC Universe is underway, as Superman takes flight into cinemas today, and there’s been an abundance of merchandise and collectibles to commemorate this occasion. McFarlane Toys / DC Direct are celebrating the movie’s premiere with a newly crafted resin statue showcasing David Corenswet as Superman. The Superman 1:6th Scale DC Direct Resin Statue displays the character in a timeless pose, standing on a Superman super “S” base, which elevates the statue’s total height to 13.87-inches. As of now, the price for the statue remains undisclosed, but all will be unveiled today, July 11th at 9am PT / 12pm ET. In the new DC Universe, James Gunn takes the helm as writer and director for a fresh take on Superman, featuring David Corenswet as Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. Nicholas Hoult steps into the role of Superman’s longtime adversary, Lex Luthor.
