The 2026 Grammys had one final mic drop.

Despite announcing a great group of presenters for the Grammy Awards – including Chappell Roan, Teyana Taylor, and Nikki Glaser – the Recording Academy surprised everyone by having Harry Styles present the last award.

Fans waited throughout the entire awards show, hosted by Trevor Noah at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 1st, to catch a glimpse of Harry Styles, as he bypassed both the red carpet and a seat in the audience. When he finally appeared on stage to present the Album of the Year award, he instantly turned heads with his surprisingly unique outfit.

Harry surprised everyone with a casual outfit, sporting jeans and mint green flats. He completed the look with a sparkly, cropped blazer, wearing it without a shirt underneath.

I’m so happy to be here tonight to give out the Album of the Year award,” the singer, 32, shared. “A fantastic album has the power to shift your perspective. It’s like an artist takes you on a shared exploration of life, and the truly special albums become lasting companions – something you can revisit again and again, just like reconnecting with old friends.

The singer, formerly of One Direction, then presented the trophy to Bad Bunny. He had been nominated for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS alongside Lady Gaga (Mayhem), Justin Bieber (Swag), Kendrick Lamar (GNX), Leon Thomas (Mutt), Tyler, the Creator (Chromakopia), Sabrina Carpenter (Man’s Best Friend), and Pharrell Williams (Let God Sort Em Out).

Harry’s performance at the Grammys continued the show’s tradition of impactful Album of the Year presenters. Last year, just after the devastating Los Angeles wildfires were put out, firefighters Anthony Marrone and Sheila Kelliher Berkoh from the Los Angeles County Fire Department had the honor of presenting the award to Beyoncé for her album, Cowboy Carter.

When accepting her first Album of the Year award, the singer of “Drunk in Love” expressed her gratitude and praised firefighters for protecting everyone.

Despite her ongoing health challenges with stiff person syndrome, Céline Dion received a warm welcome at the 2024 Grammys, where she presented Taylor Swift with the Album of the Year award for Midnights.

Harry accepted his 2023 Album of the Year award from a dedicated fan, Reina Lafantaisie. The Recording Academy had invited nominees’ fans to present the awards that night, and Harry shared a warm hug with Reina as he took the stage.
