Pearl Abyss announced that Crimson Desert will be optimized for the PlayStation 5 Pro, offering visual and performance improvements specifically for the upgraded console.
We don’t yet know what the graphics settings or frame rates will be, but a recent interview with Destin revealed the upgraded PlayStation console will offer several advantages over the standard PS5.
Crimson Desert is finished with development of its main version 1.0! The team at Pearl Abyss is now focusing on polishing and improving the game, with plans to release a day one patch. Before the game launches on March 19, 2026, they’ll share details about the different graphics settings and what the PS5 Pro version will offer. Director Will Powers has confirmed that the PS5 Pro will have special enhancements.
Since they announced it would be a single-player game, the open world seemed really ambitious. Pearl Abyss is now showing how they’ve actually made it happen with detailed videos, and they’re planning to release two more soon. If you want the game to run as smoothly as possible on a console, the PS5 Pro will be your best option when it launches next month.
