Proud Nordics” on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) in the western region as early as 2026, according to their recent announcement.
Back on July 31, I was thrilled to get my hands on Ys X: Proud Nordics when it dropped for the Nintendo Switch 2 in Japan. Now, the excitement’s spreading as an Asian release has just landed, offering a chance to play this fantastic title not only on the Nintendo Switch 2 but also on PC via Steam.
Here is an overview of the game, via NIS America:
In the esteemed version of the Ys series’ celebrated title, Ys X: Proud Nordics, players experience the same exhilarating combat and captivating storyline as the initial launch, but with fresh gameplay features, an incredibly challenging labyrinth, and a completely new narrative woven into the game seamlessly.
Following an intense sea confrontation, the young redheaded explorer named Adol and the noble Norman, Karja, are forcibly linked by magical chains due to a never-dying horde called the Griegr. These marauders, known as the Obelia Gulf’s plunderers, pose a dire threat. Sailing on their vessel, the Sandras, Adol and Karja recruit a loyal crew of friends and allies to face off against the Griegr in an epic voyage!
