The highly anticipated espionage RPG, previously known as Project [C4], developed by the creators of Disco Elysium (ZA/UM), has officially been titled ZERO PARADES. According to the developers, it’s set to launch on PC via Steam, although a specific release date has yet to be announced.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
Hailing from ZA/UM, ZERO PARADES is an engaging espionage RPG that immerses you in a narrative-heavy world. As a gifted yet troubled agent, you’re tasked with a mission of utmost importance. Rebuild your shattered network, unravel the complex tapestry of conspiracy at the End of History, and either seize the limelight or bring it all crashing down-once more.
A Spy Like No Other
Exceptional, exhausted, perhaps afflicted – you assume the role of operative Hershel Wilk, also known as CASCADE. Five years ago, you guided your team into an abyss, an event that has haunted you with the weight of failure ever since. Now, you’ve been summoned for a secretive mission which holds promise for a chance to redeem yourself once more.
Welcome to the End of History
Immerse yourself in a three-way conflict over cultural and philosophical influence, set against the backdrop of an extraordinary, memorable metropolis. In ZERO PARADES, the city becomes a living, breathing entity with its own hidden truths, past wounds, and wonders waiting for you to uncover them.
Trust is a Volatile Plaything
In order to make progress in life, it’s essential to have companionship. Regrettably, you find yourself lacking friends. Instead, you’ll find yourself navigating through a diverse cast of characters that includes global financiers, tech enthusiasts with authoritarian leanings, doppelgängers with psychic abilities, a television host grappling with paranoia, a man whose heart is a box, and many more individuals each with their own motives, convictions, and hidden truths. Your mission will be to discern these factors and use them to your advantage.

Make It Up as You Go Along
In this profession, you’re likely to experience more failures than successes. That’s just part of the job. What truly counts is how you bounce back from those failures. As a participant in this field, your outcome largely depends on fate. If it doesn’t go as planned (and it often won’t), you’ll need to think quickly and adapt, hoping the outcomes are ones you can accept.
Key Features
- Become an Anti-Icon – Play as Hershel—brilliant, relentless, magnetic… and cursed. A former top operant whose touch turns everything to ash. She is as dangerous to her enemies as she is to her friends.
- Espionage Reinvented – Descend into a world of bootleg mind-erasure, failed space programmes, and state-sponsored pop stars. This is espionage stripped of glamour—no parades, no happy endings – at least probably not for you.
- Failing Forward – In the life of an operant, failure is inevitable. Here, it’s another way forward – every misstep opens doors that success would run swiftly by.
- A Story-Rich Espionage RPG – From the studio which brought you Disco Elysium. Blending the psychological depth of a spy novel with surrealist undertones and richly drawn characters.
- A Question of Identity – Who are you when no one is watching? Or, at least, when you *think* no one is? In ZERO PARADES, the answer will define much more than just the assignment. Cope with the terror of reality by giving up parts of yourself and try not to lose your mind in the process.
