Zack Snyder reveals his Justice League 2 plans..

It feels like a long time ago when fans campaigned for Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of Justice League, which eventually arrived as a very lengthy film. It appears that despite issues with the original film’s production caused by a family tragedy, Snyder had already planned a sequel to Justice League. He’s been sharing storyboards for that planned sequel on his Instagram account, and it would have begun with…

Back at the Batcave, Batman is shocked as Darkseid completely controls Superman. Superman immediately attacks Batman, but he manages to escape with his life! Lex Luthor thinks he’s finally won, but then confronts Superman himself. Superman stares at Lex with fiery red eyes and incinerates him. Lex’s screams fill the air as everything turns red.

The story then fast-forwards five years to the Knightmare scene hinted at in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and picks up from there.

Rolling sand dunes and the ruins of scorched landscapes… this was once Gotham City, but now, like the rest of the world, it’s under Darkseid’s control. Emerging from behind a dune is a battle-worn Batman, leading a small, desperate group of rebels – the last remaining members of the Justice League. They approach the crumbling remains of Wayne Manor. Batman is in the lead, with the Flash struggling to help the severely damaged Cyborg. Bruce Wayne looks up at the sky, his expression grim. “We have to get inside before nightfall,” he says. “He’s coming.”

There is then further reveals about forces on Earth teaming up to stop Darkseid’s invasion….

Darkseid launches a massive invasion, overwhelming the Justice League. However, Superman inspires the world’s nations to unite and fight back, mobilizing their armies, air forces, and navies. Wonder Woman and her mother bring the Amazons from Themyscira to join the battle. Meanwhile, Aquaman convinces the seven underwater kingdoms to ally with the surface world, declaring it an eighth kingdom worthy of their support, and they rise up to fight alongside the Amazons and the land-based forces.

What chance of Justice League 2?

The first Justice League movie earned $661 million, and many fans preferred Zack Snyder’s vision. Because of this, a sequel directed by Snyder seems improbable.
