Yacht Club Games has postponed the release of Mina the Hollower, their Zelda-inspired game for PlayStation 5, just weeks before its planned Halloween launch.
The game developer announced on their website that, despite working hard to finish the game, it won’t be released on October 31st as originally planned. They say the delay isn’t significant, and they’re using the extra time to refine and balance the game to ensure it’s the best it can be.

Here’s what Yacht Club Games will work on with that extra development time:
- Finalizing design, art, and sound
- Overall game balancing
- Implementing localization
- Eating cheese
- Testing, testing, testing… on all platforms!
Enter a thrilling action-adventure world with Mina the Hollower! Play as Mina, a skilled explorer on a dangerous quest to save a cursed island. Dig your way past traps and creatures, defeat enemies with your whip, and collect powerful items to help you along the way. Discover a beautifully detailed world with amazing gameplay, challenging bosses, and a captivating soundtrack.
The team says the delay is minor, so Mina the Hollower is probably still coming to PS5 by the end of this year. If not, it will likely be released in the first few months of 2026.
We’re almost finished with the game and are playing through the entire thing daily. We’ll share a release date as soon as it’s approved by platform holders, so please be patient!
