007: First Light Actor Says Bond’s Actor Should be Cast in the Movie Series

Lennie James, who stars as John Greenway in the new James Bond film 007: First Light, has highly praised Patrick Gibson’s performance as the lead character. In an interview with Radio Times Gaming at the BAFTA Games Awards, James even suggested Gibson has the potential to become the next James Bond in future films, calling him “fantastic” in the role.

He’s excellent as Bond in our project, and I really believe he’d be a strong contender for the official James Bond role they’re currently casting. I’m confident the casting directors are at least considering him – it would be surprising if they weren’t.

Given that Gibson recently played a younger James Bond in 007: First Flight, it’s not surprising he’s being considered for the next film. Amazon has also stated they’re looking for an actor under 30 for the role, and James has expressed his hope that Gibson might be chosen.

The new James Bond game, 007: First Light, is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on May 27th. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be released later this summer. In the meantime, you can watch the game’s opening cinematic sequence, which features a new song called “First Light” performed by Lana Del Rey.

I was so hyped when the studio dropped the new trailer for 007: First Light last week! It really showed off how you can play the game. Apparently, Bond can totally blend into the background to check things out or listen in on what enemies are saying. And if you’re not into fighting, you can play the whole game sneaking around – that’s a huge relief for me, as I prefer stealth!

As you’d expect from a James Bond game, 007: First Light includes gadgets – for example, a smartphone that can secretly fire tranquilizer darts. If players are discovered, they’ll get into intense fights where Bond needs to use his weapons more than his gadgets to survive.

The studio announced they’re planning a lot of new content to be released after the game, 007: First Light, is available.

IO Interactive has been sharing glimpses into the making of their new James Bond game, 007: First Light. They’ve released several development diaries, the most recent of which, released earlier this month, highlights the game’s sound design and music. The diary features audio director Dominic Vega and the composers from The Flight.

Last month’s development diary highlighted the supporting characters in 007: First Light, such as M (Priyanga Burford), Miss Moneypenny (Kiera Lester), John Greenway (Lennie James), and Q (Alastair Mackenzie). The diary also confirmed that 007: First Light will tell the story of how James Bond became the agent we know.
