007 First Light Isn’t Getting a Demo and Won’t Feature Multiple Endings

With the launch of 007 First Light just under three weeks away, IO Interactive is continuing to share details about the game. During a recent livestream, developers answered fan questions and confirmed that a day-one update will allow players to enjoy the campaign even without an internet connection.

So, I was hoping to check out the new spy game with a demo, but it looks like that’s not happening. The developers said they don’t have plans for one, and honestly, with the launch so close, it makes sense. They’re probably putting everything into making the full game as good as possible, which I totally get!

The game will have one definitive ending, and the developers at IO Interactive are dedicated to sticking to it. They aren’t focused on fully resolving Bond’s personal story in this installment, but rather on setting him on a path that impacts MI6 and the people around him. While a sequel is possible, any further development of his character would likely happen in a future game.

The new James Bond game, 007 First Light, will be available on May 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. You can find more information about the game and what to expect here, including the fact that the campaign should take most players around 20 hours to finish. The version for Nintendo Switch 2 has been postponed until later this summer, and may take longer to develop.
