007 First Light’s Campaign Will Take 20 Hours for the Average Player to Beat

Despite offering exciting, fast-paced action and open-ended levels perfect for a super spy adventure, 007 First Light is a substantial game. Given IO Interactive’s experience with the Hitman series, it’s likely most players will complete the main story in around 20 hours.

YouTuber JorRaptor, who recently got an early look at the game and spoke with the developers, shared that this applies to the standard gameplay. Separately, there’s a ‘Tac Sim’ mode where players can replay missions with different goals – like completing a level without using any weapons. Successfully completing these challenges earns players Intel, which can be used to unlock upgrades for gadgets, weapons, and outfits.

Challenge your friends and other players online with leaderboards that track the fastest completion times. Plus, with multiple difficulty levels, you can make the campaign last as long as you like.

The new James Bond game, 007 First Light, arrives on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC on May 27th, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version coming this summer. After launch, players can look forward to additional Tac Sim missions. You can find more information and previews here, and check out the opening cinematic featuring the theme song “First Light” performed by Lana Del Rey.
