007 First Light’s Title Track Revealed, Sung by Lana Del Rey

It’s confirmed: Lana Del Rey will be singing the theme song for the new James Bond game, 007 First Light. The official music video, titled “First Light,” has just been released. This is particularly noteworthy, as her song “24” was previously considered for, but ultimately left out of, the film Spectre.

IO Interactive went on to collaborate with David Arnold for the music. Arnold is a well-known composer with a strong background in James Bond films, having worked on titles like Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale, and Quantum of Solace.

The new game, 007 First Light, will be available on May 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow later this summer. This isn’t based on the movies; it’s a brand new story exploring James Bond’s beginnings. Players will experience Bond as a young agent joining MI6 and working to become 007, facing off against enemies like Bawma (played by Lenny Kravitz) and a shadowy figure known as 009.

This new James Bond will be full of confidence and boldness, but he’s also more likely to act on instinct and challenge authority, while still retaining a sense of optimism. He won’t be the fully polished, classic Bond we all know just yet, as the filmmakers aren’t aiming for a complete character arc. However, his personality will definitely shake things up at MI6 and impact the people around him. Keep an eye out for the official title announcement, but be careful – some details about the ending were accidentally revealed online by the Indonesian Ratings Board.
