An unrecognized yet rising television series is making its way to the top of streaming rankings, potentially claiming the No.1 position on AMC+’s Top 10 list soon. As of now, “Hell Motel” has moved up one position and is currently in second place among all movies and shows available on AMC+. The series trails slightly behind the 2024 Captain Nemo origin tale, “Nautilus,” but it surpasses another title that holds the third spot.
The “Hell Motel,” available on Shudder, originates from the creative minds of Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin, who are also known for the Shudder series titled “Slasher.” This chilling series unfolds at the ominous Cold River Motel, a location rumored to have been the scene of a Satanic ritual and gruesome massacre around three decades back. Given its current popularity on streaming platforms, now is an excellent opportunity for viewers to immerse themselves in this thrilling tale.

Hell Motel Is One of Two McCormack Hits This Year
Eric McCormack, known for his portrayal of Will Truman on the popular sitcom “Will & Grace” and awarded an Emmy for that role in 2001, is experiencing a revival in popularity recently. In early 2023, McCormack featured alongside Lydia Wilson and Davis Ajala in MGM+’s production. His roles in the murder mystery “Nine Corpses in a Mexican Morgue” and the horror series “Hell Motel” are quite distinct from his comedic performance on “Will & Grace”.
He shared his reasons for being attracted to the role in “Nine Bodies”. He mentioned that the filming location in the Canary Islands was enticing, but what truly captivated him was the fact that all cast members would portray misfits, mirroring their real-life bond as actors. He added that he found himself drawn to the concept of life imitating art, where the characters have to find ways to survive, while they only needed a daily gin and tonic in reality. (He chuckled at this point).
