I was so excited to see that a classic game from the PS2 and original Xbox days is only a dollar on Steam right now! It’s a 21-year-old action-adventure title, and they’ve discounted it by a whopping 90%! But you’ve gotta hurry – the deal ends in 72 hours, around January 19th, and then it goes back up to its regular price of $10. Just a heads-up for anyone using a Steam Deck, though – it’s currently listed as “Unsupported” for this game.
Quantic Dream, the French studio behind games like Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain, first gained recognition with Fahrenheit (also known as Indigo Prophecy), released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and original Xbox. While the original game may show its age, this offer isn’t for that version. Instead, it’s for the remastered version released in 2015. Quantic Dream is perhaps best known for their 2018 title, Detroit: Become Human, which remains their most recent game, but Fahrenheit was an important early step for the studio.
A Cult-Classic PS2 Game Cheaper Than a Candy Bar
Fahrenheit, also known as Indigo Prophecy, is a memorable game that often gets overlooked. It was created before the studio began a close partnership with PlayStation, and it wasn’t a major blockbuster release. Despite this, it still sold over a million copies and received a strong score of 85 on Metacritic. Like the studio’s other titles, your choices in the game significantly affect the story and its ending. The game centers around Lucas Kane, who is under investigation by two detectives after committing murder while seemingly possessed by a supernatural force.
Never Been Cheaper Before
You can get Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered for its lowest price ever right now on Steam and other platforms – just $0.99! Considering it’s been out for 11 years, this is likely the best deal you’ll find. It’s a great time to play, especially if you’re looking forward to the studio’s next project – the new Star Wars game, which is still some time away.
