The Winter 2026 anime season has ended, and streaming services are gearing up for the Spring releases. Crunchyroll will stream most of the new anime shows in many countries, as they do every season. Netflix also announces its anime releases each month, including both new and older titles. While Netflix doesn’t have as many anime as Crunchyroll, it’s a major player and has been investing in anime for a while. They’ve already revealed their April lineup, and it looks great! The first season of Wind Breaker arrived on March 2nd, 2026, and the second season will start streaming just a month later, on April 2nd, 2026.
According to What’s on Netflix, the streaming platform has announced the release date for the next season of Wind Breaker. This high school action series has received a lot of positive attention, but a third season hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, even though the original manga is still being created. A live-action version of the series came out in December, but it’s currently unclear when or if it will be available worldwide.
What Happens in Wind Breaker Season 2?

Season 2 of Wind Breaker begins immediately after the events of the first season, with the first-year students of Furin High School confronting the KEEL gang after one of their own is hurt. The initial storyline centers around their efforts to assist Anzai, who is tirelessly trying to save a friend from the dangerous gang. Despite his determination, Anzai consistently finds himself outmatched. Sakura, as the leader of the first-year students, observes Anzai’s difficulties and steps in to offer his help.
The rest of the students followed, but the opposing gang quickly overwhelmed them before they could regroup with the second-year students. This part of the anime finishes the KEEL Arc and begins adapting the Sakura/Tsubakino and Roppo-Ichiza/Gravel Arcs. We’re properly introduced to Tasuku Tsubakino, one of Bofurin’s Four Kings. While Tsubaki had appeared before, this is the first time the story focuses on him. He and Sakura’s group are sent on a mission – a visit to an elderly man who recently lost his wife.
Soon after, the characters discover a significant problem developing on Night Street. The season concludes with a dramatic cliffhanger, drawing from early chapters of Umemiya’s backstory. This arc is shorter than previous ones, but it sets the stage for a major shift in the story with the upcoming Noroshi War Arc. Yamato Endo will continue to be a key villain, and the series will gradually reveal his history and motivations.
