2026’s Most Anticipated Action Fantasy Makes a Stunning Return With Season 2

Fans can rejoice as Wistoria: Wand and Sword returns for a new season in Spring 2026, almost two years after its popular debut in 2024. The anime is based on a novel by Fujino Omori, the author known for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?. The new season kicked off with a fantastic premiere on April 12th, 2026. New episodes will be available on Crunchyroll every Sunday at 1:30 A.M. Pacific Time. While the release date for the English dubbed episodes is still to come, an announcement is expected within the next couple of weeks. When the dubbed episodes do arrive, they’ll be released at the same time as the original versions.

I’m so excited to share that this anime is now available pretty much everywhere – North and South America, all across Europe and Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia! And the new season? It jumps right back into the action where the last one left off, and honestly, it’s setting up what looks like the most intense storyline we’ve seen yet. Things are really heating up for Will and his friends – they’re about to face a challenge unlike anything they’ve ever experienced!

Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 Will Bring More Challenges For The Characters

Meeting the evil Grand Duke was just the first sign of trouble, because the villains are now taking action. As a major event approaches, the kingdom is descending into chaos. The New Year’s celebration will be disastrous, and Will will, predictably, find himself right in the middle of it all. All this is happening as the students near their graduation date, with the kingdom’s future hanging in the balance.

Will needs to earn more credits to both graduate and gain entry to the prestigious Tower of the Magia Vander. He faces a significant challenge, however, as he’s unable to cast even simple spells, slowing down his progress. The new season will also reveal more about Elfaria, a character who had limited screen time in the first season. She’s the main reason Will is so determined to become a Magia Vander.

Years ago, Elfaria became the youngest and most powerful mage in the kingdom when she entered the tower, separating her from a loved one. Though they hope to be reunited, many challenges stand in their way.
