Webtoon and Warner Bros. Animation are working together to create anime versions of at least ten popular webcomics. While the project is just starting, not many details are available yet, with only four titles currently confirmed. This partnership aims to capitalize on the growing worldwide interest in manhwa and webcomics, bringing anime adaptations of some of Webtoon’s most beloved series to a broader audience. Webtoon, launched in 2004 by Naver, is a leading platform for online comics.
Webtoon Entertainment is home to a wide variety of popular series, including Korean webtoons, comics from the US and China (manhua), and Japanese manga. Fans are always eager to see what new titles will be added. Recently, Yongsoo Kim, Webtoon’s head of strategy, and Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation, told Variety that they are considering turning four series into anime.
4) Elf & Warrior

This fantasy series, which ended in 2022, centers around Basri, a young elf, and his uncle Hector, a former criminal trying to turn over a new leaf. The story follows their travels, but Hector’s troublesome behavior constantly forces them to move on. This frustrates Basri, who dreams of becoming a heroic adventurer – exploring dungeons, fighting monsters, and helping those in need.
3) Down to Earth

I’ve been watching this really charming romantic comedy about a guy named Kade. He’s pretty much just going through the motions, working as a cashier and trying to deal with a recent breakup – his ex really left him hurting. Then, completely out of the blue, an alien girl literally crashes into his backyard! The story is about how they get to know each other, and it’s surprisingly sweet – it seems like she might just be what Kade needs to get his life back on track and rediscover his feelings.
2) Hardcore Leveling Warrior

Even though it’s short with only 14 chapters, this webtoon is incredibly popular. It centers around Ethan, also known as Hardcore Leveling Warrior, the best player in the world-famous game, Lucid Adventure. After a mysterious player kills him and resets him to level one, he’s determined to get back to the top. As the story unfolds, secrets from his past are revealed, impacting him and those around him.
1) The Stellar Swordsmaster

Vlad, a young man growing up in poverty, always dreamed of becoming a knight. One day, he’s hit by a mysterious bolt of black lightning and starts hearing voices from swords. Determined to escape his difficult life by owning a fine weapon, he unexpectedly becomes involved in a conflict between influential families and sets off on a journey to achieve his aspirations.
